Well the fun never stops. No diagnosable cause yet for the pain and hand/arm numbness. But the CT found a fairly large thyroid nodule that needs to be worked up. So having ultrasounds for the breast/arm pain this week and thyroid next week. Had infusion of Zometa last week and knocked me on my arse for 2 full days.
Spouses brother also was diagnosed with colon mass that may need surgery to remove the GI that scoped him wasn't brave enough to try via scope. So calling upon my old TushNurse skills to help direct him in next steps.
Good news is my mom has stabilized and brain is better.

Big hugs. That is a lot to deal with. Remember to give yourself grace because it’s always easier said than done.

Tush… I haven’t posted on your thread recently, but I have been checking in on you. Of course it seems you are doing everything just as you should. I’m sorry for all of the irritating, side effects, etc. that you must tolerate, but if anyone knows how to minimize them, it is you!
I’m especially sorry about your numbness in your hand and arm. I have quite a bit of that, but I believe it’s due to carpal tunnel… And that certainly is less of an issue than what you’re dealing with.

Ugh quite a year so far. Hope they found the source of that pain/numbness and the other issues are non-issues. And glad you can put your ass-perience to good work for your family member ;-)

Thyroid issue is just a plain old nodule. Nothing to fret over.
Still dont have an answer on the hand/arm numbness next up an MRI of cervical spine. Which I suggested at the beginning but they had to rule out lymphedema.
Had Zometa infusion last week wich will be every 6 mos to prevent bone loss. But man that thing kicked my rear.
My mom seems to be doing better. Brain bleed is shrinking.
BIL is awaiting next appts to lay out next steps. So wait for that.

Thanks friends.
I go for MRI thos week.
Have to reschedule an echo. Went to the wrong location for it first time.
Pain still present and have swelling in Armpit and lateral breast. But improves with massage but always nagging.
My friend with dementia is on hospice. Visiting her frequently taking her things she loves like fountain sodas and sweets. My mom seems better but parents going on trip this week woth friends. Hope their time isn't ruined from blow off of Melissa. Thats a doozy of a storm.
Just keeping on keeping on.
